A recent survey by Realtor.com discovered that 79% of home buyers searching during the holidays were more serious. 61% felt that lower competition for properties to be an advantage. Additionally, buyers have additional time to view homes for sale during the holidays. Home buyers who are relocating also often use the time off to initiate a real estate search. It is therefore possible to see homes receiving offers on X-mas or New Years Eve.
